HONORING VETERANS

        • Joe Harrelson – Wichita Falls, Texas

        • Sgt. George Meyers – Gary, Indiana

        • Claude Collines – Knoxville, Tennessee
        • PFC R.L. Wootan – Magdalena, New Mexico

There are many more names, each one handwritten by
someone who lived through the most significant conflict
of the 20th century. Some may still be alive. Others may
have passed, but their stories remain, waiting to be
        shared, remembered, and honored.
At Bridge Hospice, we work every day with veterans and
their families, helping them navigate the final chapters of
their lives with dignity and compassion. In that work, I
am constantly reminded of the sacrifices made by those
who served. This flag, in many ways, has become a part
of that mission for me—a symbol of both remembrance
        and reconnection.

If you’re reading this and recognize a name, a place, or a
unit, I would be honored to speak with you. The flag is
on display in my office at Bridge Hospice on 34th Street
in Lubbock, and I welcome anyone who would like to
come by, see it in person, and share any information or
        stories you may have.

Whether it leads to a discovery or simply sparks a
meaningful conversation, I believe this flag still has a
purpose—to connect us to the past, and to remind us of
the extraordinary courage and humanity of those who
        served.
