so we moved there in 1990. Around that time, things were
heating up between Iraq and Kuwait. The U.S. was getting Pastor Crowley’s article
involved, so I joined the Texas Army National Guard proudly sponsored by:
during Desert Shield in August 1991 as a sergeant. Our unit
was about to board a transport plane when we found out The congregation of the Church of

down. I was released from duty in October 1993.

“My wife Judy and I moved to Roaring Springs in 2007. I
live next-door to my daughter, Denise, and son-in-law Gary
Ford. I ‘retired’ from preaching in 2019, but I still preach
here (Roaring Springs) every Sunday. I was privileged to go
on the 2024 Honor Flight. The experience helped erase that

(always faithful) to God, his family, and his country. He
ended the interview by saying, “I’d like to be remembered
as being patriotic to my country and that I spent 55 years
       serving my Lord.”
